SCIENCE and RADIO
MERIT BADGE CAMP

July 22 - July 28, 2012


A fun and educational Provisional camp where Boys Scouts can earn science related merit badges that may be difficult to complete in the home troop environment.  The camp is comprised of a Science Merit Badge Camp and a Radio Camp. 

The radio camp allows a Scout to study and test for the FCC Amateur Ham Radio License, build a working transmitter and receiver, and earn the electronics and radio merit badges.  The merit badges are presented by
adult volunteers that are learned and enthusiastic about the subject matter. 

Also, new this year, a greater selection of merit badges including Eagle required as well as law and conservation oriented.

Environmental Science | Personal Management
Communications and Public Speaking | Geo-caching | Robotics
Forestry | Fish & Wildlife | Mammal Study | Soil & Water Conservation
Veterinary Medicine | Law | Crime Prevention and Fingerprinting
 

CAMP FEES and PAYMENT SCHEDULE:

 Fees if paid by April 30, 2012
Science Camp - $310
Radio camp - $325

Fees if paid after May 1, 2012
 Science Camp - $335
 Radio camp - $350

Science Camp is open to Boy Scouts from ALL Councils that have been active with a troop for the past year, have already attended a week long summer camp, and have attained the rank of Second Class.
